about us

Andrew Reynolds has been working in the engineering industry for over 20 years, beginning on the tools in the family engineering business (Reynolds Engineering Services) making parts for, assembling and installing special purpose machines and conveyors. Andrew then started working in the design and drafting office in 2002 whilst continuing to study mechanical engineering part time. Andrew quickly realised he had a passion for mechanical design and a natural skill with 3D CAD and continued over the next 10 years with multiple companies to design and project manage myriad special purpose machines. Materials handling equipment, packaging and palletising lines, aircraft maintenance and ground service equipment, even automotive crash testing equipment. All the while continuing to study part time and graduating from a Bachelor of Engineering Honours in 2009.

From 2012, Andrew then spent 5 years working in the construction industry for a structural steel fabricator. Andrew helped the company grow rapidly over those 5 years and then as Operations Manager was instrumental in implementing design, production control and quality management systems and processes within that business.

Andrew decided in 2017 that his passion still lay with mechanical design and 3D CAD and so he reprised his role as Mechanical Design Engineer. Reynolds Engineering Services has now re-established itself as a consulting business offering a range of services in the mechanical engineering, design and project management space as well as being a specialist in 3D design, documentation and process automation.
